How to join LeafSMP
LeafSMP is a small 16+ vanilla survival server on Minecraft Java Edition. It is whitelisted, so you apply once in Discord and a person reads it. It is free, and there is nothing to buy.
Before you apply
Check these first. Two of them turn people away and it is much better to know now.
| Edition | Minecraft Java Edition (no Bedrock) |
|---|---|
| Account | A purchased Java Edition account. No cracked or offline-mode clients. |
| Version | Minecraft Java Edition 26.2 |
| Address | leafsmp.com |
| Access | Whitelist, by application in Discord |
| Minimum age | 16 |
| Player slots | 20 |
| Difficulty | Hard |
| Keep inventory | Off. You drop everything. |
| PvP | On, but consensual only |
| World | One survival world, no seasons, no wipes |
| Hosting | Dedicated hardware in the United Kingdom |
| Cost | Free. Nothing is for sale. |
The three that catch people out: this is Java Edition only, so console and mobile cannot join, it has to be a purchased account rather than a cracked client, and the age limit is not negotiable.
The application, step by step
Step 1. Join the Discord
Everything happens there. There is no form on this website and no email to send. The invite never expires.
Step 2. Read #about
It is short. It is the same information as this site, and reading it is what the Apply button asks you to confirm you have done.
Step 3. Press "Apply for Whitelist"
A form opens in Discord. It asks for your Minecraft username, your age, how you found us, and a few sentences about yourself. It will not accept a one-word answer, on purpose.
Step 4. Wait for a human
I read every application myself. It is usually an hour or two, sometimes longer if it lands overnight. You are not being ranked against anyone else and there is no quota.
Step 5. Get the welcome
When you are approved your name goes on the whitelist straight away and you can connect to leafsmp.com. There is a welcome in chat, and you pick a name colour in #roles whenever you like, and it shows on your name in game as well as in Discord.
What makes an application easy to say yes to
There is no scoring and no correct answer. The only applications that are genuinely hard to approve are the ones with nothing in them, because there is nothing there to say yes to.
- Your actual Minecraft username, spelled exactly. A typo whitelists somebody who does not exist and it has to be fixed by hand afterwards.
- Roughly how long you have played Minecraft, and what you like doing in it. Building, redstone, farms, exploring, all fine. "A bit of everything" is fine too.
- What you are after in a server. If you want somewhere quiet to build for a few hours a week, say that. It is a good answer.
- Anything you want to ask. Applications go to a private channel and I am the only one who reads them.
Once you are in
Your name goes on the whitelist immediately, so you can connect straight away. Add the server in your Minecraft client with the address below, pick a name colour in #roles if you want one, and it shows on your name in game too. Then go and find somewhere to build. Nobody is going to assign you a plot.
Ready?
The invite never expires. Applications are read by one person, usually within an hour or two.
